Concerning the return of Christ in general and the catching away (rapture) in particular, here are some Scriptures for consideration and study:
Matt 24:30 Sign of the Son of man will appear in the sky.Matt. 12:38-40 No sign to be given but sign of prophet Jonah (Son of Man - Jesus Himself)
John 1:51 (Ampl) "Then He (Jesus) said to him, I assure you, . . .you shall see Heaven opened up, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the son of man!"
Rev. 1:7 (Ampl) "Lo, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, . . ."
In view of these Scriptures, along with all others in the Bible on this subject, will the rapture be secret or will every eye see Him in the heavens at that time, just before He comes on down to catch away the believers (I Thess. 4:19-21)?
In any case, we are admonished to be prepared and watching for that great event: "You also must be ready therefore; for the Son of man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him." (Matt. 24:44, Ampl) and "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." (Luke 21:36 KJV)
